Trip Itinerary

Day 1 :

Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1467m) - 8 hours

  • Start the day early with a pick-up from your hotel in Kathmandu
  • Embark on a scenic drive to Syabrubesi through terraced fields and picturesque villages
  • Cross over the Trisuli River and continue through forests and rolling hills
  • Arrive in Syabrubesi, check into your lodgings, and rest for the rest of the day
  • Prepare for the next day's trek, explore the nearby areas and get acclimated to the altitude.

Note: It's recommended to arrive a day early in Kathmandu to adjust to the time difference and to arrange any last-minute necessities.


Day 2 :

Day 2 of Langtang trek begins with a morning breakfast at Syabrubesi and the start of the trek towards Lama Hotel. The trail follows the Langtang River, passing through rhododendron forests, terraced fields and traditional Tamang villages. The trail climbs gradually, offering stunning views of the Langtang range and other peaks along the way. Some of the notable highlights include:

  • Crossing the Langtang River via suspension bridge
  • Pass by Ghoretabela, where you can see panoramic views of the valley
  • Visit the Lama Hotel, a small village with a few lodges and tea shops
  • Meet with local people and learn about their culture and way of life
  • Explore the surrounding area, including the Langtang National Park and the forests filled with diverse wildlife

The trek usually takes 5-6 hours, and you'll arrive at Lama Hotel in the late afternoon. You'll spend the night at a lodge, resting and preparing for the next day's trek.

Day 3 :

Day 4 :

  • Trek from Langtang village to Kyanjin Gompa
  • Pass through alpine forests and meadows
  • Enjoy views of Mt. Langtang Lirung (7246m) and other peaks
  • Visit the Kyanjin Gompa Monastery, a major Buddhist pilgrimage site
  • Explore the local cheese factory and explore the surrounding area
  • Overnight stay in Kyanjin Gompa.
